Join the Team

The Northern Illinois CISM Team is currently recruiting emergency service personnel in the following areas:

• Law Enforcement
• Dispatchers
• Emergency Room Staff
• Firefighters/Paramedics

NICISM Team Membership entails:

• Completion of an application and interview
• Two letters of support
• Complete a 2-day Group Crisis Intervention CISM training.  (See our upcoming events for class listings or obtain a training listing available throughout the country from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.

We require a one year commitment to membership. Team members are expected to attend team or board meetings (minimum 2 per year), attend trainings, conduct defusings, debriefings and one-to-one peer support to emergency service personnel within our service area and mutual-aid in other regions.
